Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – At the end of The Extreme Journey competition, I had a day spare time. Rather than spending the time gegoleran in The Pirate Bay Bali, do nothing (red : gegoleran mean doing nothing, just lying around). So I prefer to contact my old friends who are still many of them staying in Bali. In short, this time I need help from them to not getting bored. Because I’ve been in Bali but doing nothing is just not my style.
Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – I found Balangan Beach as a great place for having fun. This is where I first saw a beach with a series of unique and neat coconut trees. It was very rarely, I seen a beach with beautiful coconut tree formation in Bali. Although I don’t know if these coconut trees are growing naturaly or some man-made, which is might be owned by some resort around here. It is clear that composition of white sand beach combined with neat palm trees is somehow make me feels more comfortable and quiet.
Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – It was few years ago, I went to one of Bali’s beautiful beach, Tegalwangi. Some people also called the beach by Tanjung Tegalwangi, while I give an additional name to this beach “Bali’s hidden beach, found by me” :).
Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – The idea of visiting Serangan Island comes because a skype chat with my friends in the office some time ago. Turn out the location of Serangan Island is quite close to my office in Sanur. And that conversation makes my adventurous soul arise. If I explore Samalona island which is hundreds miles away from bali, then I should visit Serangan Island too. Furthermore it’s distance just a few kilometers away, not thousands. I found that This island has more appeal than i think, such as fishing spot for whom have fishing hoby, turtle beach with challenging waves for surfers, and water sport for water sports lovers. Not to mention its cultural tours of acculturation Bugis and Balinese culture on the Serangan Island.
Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – Before I tell my story about hiking mount batur, i’m going to explain a little bit about Mount Batur it self. Mount Batur is an active volcano on the island of Bali, and has erupted many times. its last eruption is in 2004, and the greatest eruption occurred in 1926 which was stockpiled Batur Village and Ulun Danu temple with it’s lava.

Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – During my stay in Bali, I had one favorite foods, especialy when I want to reduce my spending or my wallet being broke because of too much traveling. This Balinese food is similar to the “Nasi Kucing” in Java. But its presentation and contents are a little bit different. The food name also different, in Bali this food is wellknown as Nasi Jinggo.
Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – Jimbaran bay is one of well known tourism spot in Bali, especially it’s sunset dinner, sound’s interesting right? I had tried it once, but not it’s sunset dinner hahaha, i come late, it was night already. But still, that was an awesome dinner with my friends, and also my first time ever dinner beside the beach. Thanks to god for given me a chance staying in this wonderful Indonesian island, Bali.
Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – One of the most highly recommended places to visit is of course Bali, but due to the all the luxury resorts that have taken over the island, many budget travellers avoid it. Sure, it might be more expensive than the other islands and less populated by tourists, but it doesn’t mean that you need to spend thousands of dollars to have a good time there.
Idbackpacker.com (Indonesia Backpacker) – I know the name of Virgin Beach during casual chat on skype with my friends.
