To reach the Magose Pass, you can take a bus from either Owase or Aiga Stations along the JR Kisei Main Line. If you prefer to drive, there is parking available at the Miyama Michi-no-Eki rest area.
Following in the footsteps of pilgrims, the hike over the Magose Pass is a relatively easy one, covering about five kilometers of the trail. The hike takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete. As you walk through the woods, you will feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of Japan’s cities.
