Lombok is one of beautiful island that Indonesia have. Perhaps, you should started to think Lombok as your main holiday destination beside Bali. This island have so many beaches, that I couldn’t visit all it once in one day. I would definitely need many time to explore all of it.

But, actually i have visit most of them, the beautiful Lombok beaches. Even if this should be a secret, I’ll tell you top 5 beaches in Lombok you must visit. All of them nearly perfect beaches that most travelers are searching for.

Guess what!? Once in a while I’ll be bored with white colored beach sands. That is why I’ll get to the pink sand one. Yes! Lombok have one! The pink beach! In fact, this is the only beach in Lombok Island which have pink coloured sand. The other one in Indonesia is in Flores, eastern Indonesia.

Local people know this beach as Tangsi, so it is common if they called this beach as Tangsi Beach. I’ve been visit Tangsi Beach twice, and it was real good experience. The beach was awesome and quiet.

Perfect situation that I always wanted when I visit a Beach. Well, Tangsi Beach is quite far from the main city of Lombok, Mataram. From there I should drive around 3 hours before actually arriving at Tangsi. Although it’s quite far, but I would really recommend you visit this one when you are in Lombok!

Tired from crowded beach like Kuta Beach in Bali? You want to enjoy your time to learn surf? Well, Selong Belanak Beach should be perfect for you. This beach are quieter than Kuta Beach in bali, but also having a good wave to learn surfing.

Selong Belanak beach is located in the southern part of Lombok island. You can stay in Mataram or Kute, if you want to include Selong Belanak Beach in you itinerary. If you are lucky, you can buy fresh seafood from local people. Most of people living near Selong Belanak is fishermen, so sometimes they will come back from the sea with fresh seafood.

Tanjung aan is almost impossibly beautiful isolated bay in the Southern Lombok. it is close to Kuta a village that have many accomodation to stay. So you should staying there if you want to visit Tanjung Aan. You can visit this beach anytime. This is a beautiful beach with good scenery. Tanjung Aan Beach is surrounded by several hills. In the middle of the beach also have one small hill that you can hike. Either just to enjoy the atmosphere or taking your picture there.

Tanjung Aan Beach is located approximately 75 Kilometers from the city of Mataram, or about 3 Kilometers from Kuta Beach Lombok. If you use a private vehicle from Mataram, you will need 1.5 hours road trip. The route is Mataram – Cakranegara – Kediri – Praya – Batunyale – Sengkol – Rambitan – Sade – Kuta and Tanjung Aan.

This should be the most lovable beach in Lombok. Not because of it’s white sand or the water is good for swimming. I love Cemara Beach because of it’s blue sky and the surrounding atmosphere. The beach also quiet because the location it self is quite far from main city. But, if you trully adventurer and beach lover, the journey for finding this beach would be challenging :). The key is, this beach is located in the eastern part of Lombok. You can visit Cemara Beach using car or motorcycle.

So, you visiting lombok for holiday? relaxing and doing nothing all day long? Go to Mawun Beach then! This beach is the best one for who want to chill. Drive your car, and have good day here! Mawun Beach is also perfect place for swimming, the wave isn’t that big.

Mawun Beach is quite far from the main city Mataram about 60 km. With personal car or motorbike, it can be reached around 1,5 hours. The Route is Mataram – Cakranegara – Kediri – Praya – Penujak – Selong Belanak -Mawun. But if you staying in Kuta, mawun is just around 20 minute driving.
