That Beautiful Beach Named Virgin Beach
I know the name of Virgin Beach during casual chat on skype with my friends. Unlike other beaches such as Tegalwangi Beach, Balangan Beach, or Blue Point Beach, most of people doesn’t know too much about this beach, but I’ve seen a story about this Virgin Beach in some blogs. After doing some research,turns out that it is not that dificult finding this beach. I just need to ride a couple of hours by motorbike from Kuta.

Virgin Beach Actually Have Three Names
Yes, this beach have three names, that’s make sense why people always confused when try finding the beach location. Virgin Beach and Hidden beach is its popular name, but most local people maybe know the beach as Perasi Beach. That is why this beach can’t be much popular as Kuta Beach. But that is good, this Virgin Beach would be a nice beach to hanging out all day with friends.
Although finding Virgin Beach is quite easy, but it is rather difficult accessing its location. I was visiting Virgin Beach using a motorbike, but you could rent a car if you can’t drive motorcycle. Normal price for renting a motorbike is IDR 70.000 and for car is around 350.000. The price might be different, you can try bidding to get a lower price.
Anyone should enjoy this Virgin Beach clean and crystal clear water.
Virgin Beach is one of Bali best beaches, located in Karangasem Regency. To get there, you should drive a couple hours trough Bypass Ngurah Rai road – Sanur – Goa Lawah and eventually seen a sign that tell you are arrive at Karangasem. “Selamat Datang Di Karangasem” If you see that written on some sign, that mean Virgin Beach is close, but not too close. Just keep driving until you pass an area named Candidasa. This Virgin Beach is around 7 KM or 20 minutes drive from Candidasa.
First timer might find that it’s quite difficult finding the virgin beach. The tips to find this bali beach is, just driving slowly after passing Candidasa. Search a sign written “White Sand Beach or Pasir Putih” in your right. Just remember, driving slowly and look the sign carefully. The sign is located on your right and quite small. Sometimes even leaves are covering it.

From this sign, to reach the beach is about about 1 km down the hilly streets are slightly damaged. Dont worry to much about this street, it will lead you to the virgin beach location. Later you will be arrive at its parking area that is available nearby beach with shady trees. Congratulation, Virgin Beach is just few meters ahead.
Virgin Beach Bali can be said as one of the best beach in Bali, and less crowded beach that you can enjoy. Although this beach also known as White Sand Beach, but the sand here isn’t really that white. It is actually close to yellow-white it also mix with little black sand. I don’t really know why it is also well-known as White Sand Beach.
But, it doesn’t matter, this is clearly an unspoiled beaches the water was so clean, and turqoise colored. The waves are calm, not suitable for surfing but it’s very fun for swimming. I was forget how many hours I spent in this beach, I just too enjoy playing at virgin beach at that time. Unlike Kuta, this beach is less crowded. Only few locals while I was visiting it. There are also plenty small cafe available at Virgin Beach Bali. They sells good food and consider cheap to most people, even for local people like me.
Things To Do At Virgin Beach Bali
You can also relaxing at those sand and chair at Virgin Beach Bali.
Best things to do at Virgin beach Bali is playing with the sand, swimming and snorkelling. Although the coral isnt that good like in Menjangan Island. But you can hire snorkel equipment here. You must be aware that natural environment like on the sea some time can get rough. so you need to be very careful especially if you travel with kids.
Virgin Beach Bali also provide deck chairs with umbrellas, that located in front of many small cafe around here. If you want to use it, just ask the cafe staff and how much you should pay. Also most visitor who visiting Virgin Beach Bali, love to have Balinese massage. Plenty of local masseur available with affordable price.
