It was few years ago, I went to one of Bali’s beautiful beach, Tegalwangi beach. Some people also called the beach by Tanjung Tegalwangi, while I give an additional name to this beach “Bali’s hidden beach, found by me” :). I try to search this beach location few times, but I got no lucky finding it. Because there is no clear direction and guidance how to find the beach. Even though finally I got lucky during my little vacation, I finally found Tegalwangi.

Tegalwangi seem less popular than other beach in Bali on my first visit, the condition are still naturally preserved, unlike Kuta beach that already re-touched by human. I only met some traveler and locals who enjoy the beach, this beach is a little bit quiet. But, I love beach the most when it is quiet, just like Tegalwangi Beach. The beach location is under the cliff, common type of South Bali natural landscape. My stamina was prepared for trekking downhill, as there is no stairs to the Beach.

Few minutes later my feet touch Tegalwangi Beach fine sand, I don’t feel tired anymore whend I see beautiful beach ahead me. The waves are quite big, but not good for surfing here. For good swimmer, you might love swimming in Tegalwangi. For me, I like walking around the beach and enjoy the atmosphere. Unlike Kuta Beach, Tegalwangi doesn’t have any coast guard, so you must be careful swimming here. If you make a mistake, no one will save you.

Visiting Tegalwangi Beach before sunset is really recomended, because Tegalwangi offer one of the best Bali sunset view. Also I can choose from where should I enjoy the sunset here, from the beach, or from the top of the cliff. My favourite one is enjoying sunset from the top of the cliff. During good and clear weather condition, Mount Agung is clearly visible from here. Don’t you think that, this is a good bonus from enjoying sunset?
