Keraton Yogyakarta (Sultan Palace) is a palace of the Yogyakarta Sultanate which is still occupied by the Sultan families who now serves. Although in 1950 the Sultanate of Yogyakarta officially became part of Indonesia, the palace buildings still functioned as the residence of the Sultan and his family in order to maintain the tradition of the empire.

Every day in the palace area will be held entertainment or regular programs featuring the arts of Java, usually takes place when the stage at 9 am.
